Legendary Tony Newton was busy signing autographs before the press conference about his upcoming bass library on the Art Vista label.

Sheldon Reynolds (Earth Wind & Fire) and Thomas Dawson (keyboards for The Commodores) came early the first day.  We were so glad to see them.

Tim Carmon was heading to the inauguration concert in D.C., but came by to say hi.  Thanks Tim!

It was a joy to once again see Clarence McDonald, L.A. grandmaster keyboard player.

Grand Mixer DXT, Amanda Seward, and Richard Simmons.

Bill Steinway and Håkon Graf, two keyboard wizards in one shot, and saxophonist Paul "Shilts" Weimer.

Tracy Carter walked in, sat down at the piano, and just blew my mind with his playing.

Andrew demonstrating the "Los Angeles Scoring Strings" library.

Saturday was party-time.  Here's Amanda in bad (good) company...

At the Hilton we hooked up with Maarten Spruijt and....

...Yuval Shrem - here showing his unique "Broadway Big Band" to Meiling Seward.

Meiling and Amanda, having fun in the Hilton Foyer.

We saw a great blues band that included violin and pedal steel...

...they were grooving with a stew of influences like Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker.  We liked them a lot.

Sunday came, and it was really quiet...

...until Garth Hjelte of ChickenSys came by...

...as did Sir Spike Marlin, Recording Engineer, here in a heated discussion.

The one-and-only Mel Morley came by to say hello.

Björn E Olsberg from the Swedish "Studio" magazine and I had a nice conversation in Swedish.

It was good to see Akihito Okawa of Prominy LPC Guitars.

Sunday was so quiet that I got a chance to slip away...

...with my camera to snap a few pictures...

...here a series of the amazing Bill "Buddha" Dickens in action.

Dinner after the show.  Amanda was snapping away.

Chris Hein, Yuval Shrem, Alex Burke, Andrew Keresztes, and Amanda Seward

That's all folks.

Thanks for visiting!
